The fine weather is back in the Landes: a weekend by the sea in the offing?

It's spring! Enjoy a sunny holiday by the ocean and experience a moment out of time before the big rush of the summer season. This is what awaits you if you have decided to spend a few days camping in Messanges, our charming seaside resort in the Landes.

A MORNING YOGA SESSION

Wake up gently with a yoga class... facing the ocean! In Messanges, the yoga classes will be held on the beach. The sea has soothing properties and the sea air is particularly beneficial to health, rich in mineral salts, iodine and negative ions. The sound of the waves encourages you to let go and lighten your mind from everyday worries. Zen, let's be Zen!

A SURFING LESSON

Later in the morning, let yourself be tempted by a surfing lesson. Messanges is renowned for its surf spots and surf schools where a relaxed and sporty atmosphere prevails. Beginners will appreciate the regular and not too strong waves, while the more experienced surfers will prefer the spots of Seignosse, further south, with more powerful peaks.

A PICNIC BY THE LAKE

At midday, head for the marine lake of Port d'Albret, between Vieux-Boucau and Soustons-Plage. Behind the ocean, between the dunes and the pine forest, it is an idyllic place to spread out your pretty checkered tablecloth at the water's edge. There are numerous picnic areas around the lake. Afterwards, there's nothing like a trip in a boat or pedal boat around the small wild island in the middle of the lake to digest.

A BIKE RIDE

Spring is an ideal time for a family bike ride in the Landes. While nature is waking up, the cycle paths are still not very busy. Hire a bike and pedal along the mythical Vélodyssée towards Moliets or Léon, between ocean, lake and forests. Also worth discovering is the cycle loop that goes around Soustons, Azur, Messanges and Vieux-Boucau.

A SUNSET OVER THE OCEAN

In the evening, return to the campsite to watch a sunset on the beach. Sunsets over the sea are our speciality in the Landes! From the top of the dune, at the end of the Avenue de la Plage, the sunset over the ocean is simply magnificent. Enough to fill your Instagram with beautiful photos! And to make the experience even more unforgettable, opt for a horse ride at dusk on the beach of Messanges.
