Summer dates with the night markets in Vieux-Boucau

Many night markets are organised in the Landes. The one in Vieux-Boucau attracts the crowds. Every Monday evening, an attractive night market takes place on the Grande Plage. On Wednesday evenings, it's the same again, with an arts and crafts market along the marine lake.

Night market, every Monday evening at the Plage Centrale

Another not-to-be-missed summer event in Vieux-Boucau is the Monday evening market, which takes place along the beach. This lovely evening market is full of all kinds of creations and discoveries, so you can enjoy a cool stroll along the seafront.

There are plenty of stalls selling arts and crafts, decorative items, shoes, leather goods, jewellery, clothes, fashion accessories, gourmet foods and much more. When you return from the beach, you can take advantage of this pleasant evening stroll to find a little treasure to take home or an original gift "made in Vieux Boucau" to give to one of your loved ones, or simply for the pleasure of strolling in the moonlight.

Craft market, Wednesday evenings on the edge of the marine lake

Every Wednesday evening in July and August, on the shores of Vieux-Boucau's marine lake, discover the arts and crafts market, which brings together around forty local artists, craftspeople and designers.

Entirely dedicated to creative crafts and arts and crafts, this market stands out from other night markets in the Landes region thanks to the originality and quality of the products on offer. The vast majority of exhibitors are local designers or artists.

You'll be able to browse the stalls and take your pick of a wide range of beautiful handicrafts: decorations, jewellery, ceramics, paintings, wood carvings, textiles, photographs and other unique creations, all imagined and handmade by passionate craftsmen and women. It's sure to be a great evening!

What to do after the market?

You can take advantage of the many traditional events held in Vieux-Boucau throughout the summer. All you have to do is walk a few steps to enjoy the terraces of bars, restaurants and ice-cream parlours, or watch one of the famous Landes races in the arenas, a stilt-walker show or a game of pelota on the village pelota court. If it's not the right day, the Mail walk, which runs from the town centre to the mouth of the marine lake, is a great way to round off a balmy summer's evening in Vieux-Boucau.
